The Teenage Quarantine Experience

About

I created a resource page for all teens to get through this confusing and potentially difficult time. Seeing my friends and myself try to deal with quarantine has been an interesting experience. I noticed that not many people were talking about how quarantine effects teenage mental health. I started researching and finding out how the teenage brain works. I sent out a Google Form to my peers so I could hear how they are feeling. I discovered that so many teenagers are feeling helpless and upset. I want to help in some way. I also want to help parents and others understand how we are feeling and give them ways they can help. Please take a look at the different resources and utilize them. Go to the “If You’re Feeling…” section and click on the emotion you need hep with right now for a list of resources. If you are the parent of a teenager please check out some of the ways you can help. Browse the articles to try and get an idea of how your teen might be feeling right now. There is not enough support for teenagers and I want to provide as many resources as I can.

Results from the "Teenage Quarantine Experience" Survey

Explanation:

I surveyed more than 150 teens about their mental health over quarantine. My goal was to use this form to understand the mental health of teenagers and how quarantine has affected it. I asked various questions and got a lot of informative responses. You can take a look at my analysis here and at the graphs below. The results go along way in understanding how we as teens are feeling right now.
