Football Challenge

This year’s Football Academy trial will consist of a virtual project that will be submitted as an assignment to Microsoft Teams.

Hospitality Challenge - in person 

This year’s Hospitality  Academy trial will consist of an in person challenge at Larbert high School on 22nd February OR Wednesday 8 March.  Please arrive at the school's reception at 3.45pm and bring an apron with you if you have one.  

We look forward to seeing you on the 22nd February  or 8 March 3.45 - 4.45pm and forming our 2023 Hospitality Academy. 

Note for parents: The event will finish at and pupils can be collected at the Reception entrance by the swimming pool. 

Languages Challenge - in person

This year’s Language Academy trial will consist of an in person challenge at Larbert high School 

On this night you will take part in 3 challenges - and maybe even learn some new words!

Please make sure you bring a pen or a pencil and your iPad.

We looking forward to seeing you in the Apex on Monday 6th March at 15:30 - 16.30. 

Note for parents: Pupil should be dropped off at reception. The event will finish at 16:30 and pupils can be collected at the Reception.

Media Challenge

This year’s Media Academy trial will consist of a 3-part virtual project that will be submitted as an assignment to Microsoft Teams (deadlines tbc on Teams).

The project will test the participant’s abilities to create, analyse and reflect on themselves. In your application response we are looking for particular skillsets that are suitable for Media Academy:

• Literacy skills

• Creativity

• Independence

Sports Challenge

STEM Challenge - in person

This year’s STEM Academy trial will consist of an in person challenge at Larbert High School on Tuesday 21 February 2023, 6:00 - 7:15pm.

Pupils should be dropped off at the main pupil entrance at the Capital/Plaza, and can be picked up again from the same doors.  They will be met by staff and LHS pupils and taken to our Science faculty to enjoy our fun challenges.

Please note the final task will involve pupils undertaking a short team presentation and so may overrun slightly! We anticipate the event will finish no later than 7:30pm.

The STEM Academy challenge event will test your problem solving and teamwork skills in various STEM contexts across Science, Technology and Maths. You do not need to prepare anything in advance but remember we are looking to see your enthusiasm shine through!
