Cross Sector Convenings

Our Cross-Sector convenings bring together various community partners in a series of conversations, trainings and actions toward countywide systems change and network building to support mentoring across L.A. county.

Learning in Action Communities

Our learning communities provide a space for our partners to collaborate on various efforts to advance our YMN goals. We currently have three learning communities:

• Recruitment & Referrals
  Identifying and connecting mentoring programs that serve systems-involved youth, ensuring open slots are filled with those in need.
  
  

• Mentoring Practices
  Bringing partners together to share insights, provide training, and offer support to improve mentoring effectiveness and accessibility.
  
  

• Juvenile Justice
  Advocating for better inclusion of non-foster, justice-involved youth in mentoring efforts, addressing concerns that these programs are underrepresented within the Nexus.

Impact Study

The ongoing impact study has established a new referral channel from Level Up to 5–6 mentoring agencies, with some connections expected to last long-term. This initiative is addressing immediate mentoring needs while providing insights for future improvements. While no new referrals are reported yet for Quarter 2, 20 are in progress, with more expected. A full update will be provided in the Quarter 3 report.
