What the Club is/ Purpose for the club:

• This Club was founded by two students- Teagan Twum- Ampofo and Jeron Phillips Jr. and is looking to be student led- We need leaders who are willing to help!!

• Conversations are led by students to create a comfortable platform where we can share experiences and ways to better LC (racial, mental, gender, inclusion, etc issues).

• A safe place for students to express themselves and their opinions on matters in our LC community and our world today.

• To LEARN about people who are different than ourselves and welcome them

• This is an opportunity to make difficult conversations become more comfortable and fulfilling, to bring together our community and to help people feel more inclusive the LC community

• We want to have community outreach events that help people in need and promote inclusivity.

• Students and Moderators want to emphasis the importance of Catholic Social teaching in our school community and world

Standards/ Rules

• Respect for one another’s opinions and human dignity

• One person speaks at a time. The person being interrupted gets to speak

• Come with an open mind and LISTEN to one another

• Do not insult or slander anyone’s opinion, whether you think it is right or wrong.

• Be willing to learn from other people who have different perspectives than you

• Stay attentive in the conversations and discussions

• Not a place to complain, but implement and provide solutions.

• Not a political club, while we will talk about politics in some discussions, it is not the focus.

• The club is not limited to a certain demographic, everyone is welcome. Different opinions and backgrounds are important in the club.

Location

• Every other Thursday in the Cafeteria! All are welcome!!
