This website is like me -- it is a work in progress.
This year I have the privilege of teaching all Honors Geometry classes at Langston Charter Middle School. Over the years, I have also taught Math 6, Math 7, Math 8, and Algebra, and every year reminds me why I love teaching mathematics.
My goal is simple: to help students become more confident and capable mathematicians. I know that many students don't naturally love math. It can seem confusing, frustrating, or even a little boring at times. I've heard it all! But I also know that strong math skills open doors to success in high school, college, and many careers.
That's why I work hard to make math meaningful, engaging, and—even when possible—fun. I want students to understand not only how to solve problems, but why the mathematics matters. My classroom is built on the belief that every student can grow with effort, encouragement, and the right support.
While math is certainly not the most important thing in life, it is an important part of every student's educational journey. I consider it a privilege to be part of that journey. I learn something new from my students every year, and I hope they leave my classroom with greater confidence, stronger problem-solving skills, and perhaps even a new appreciation for mathematics.
Welcome to Honors Geometry—I look forward to a great year of learning together!

I appreciate you and your role in your student's education. If we ever need to talk or meet, please let me know.
One of the greatest things about being at LCMS is the involvement of our parents. Your support and engagement helps me to a better job of helping your student succeed in middle school and beyond.
