Computing in the Early Years
In the Early Years we encourage children to develop a passion for curiosity around the world. Technology is a fantastic way in which to support this curiosity. At LPPA we use Yoto players, which read stories to children without a screen to encourage their listening and attention skills, as well as their confidence when talking about what has been read to them.
Children also use torches, metal detectors together with the iPads to support their learning. When using iPads with the children we talk about the importance of being safe when using technology, as well as the importance of a healthy balance of screen time.
