Pitta Pizza
Ingredients
4 large pitta breads
4 tbsp tomato purée/tomato sauce
2 tsp mixed herbs
2 tomatoes, thinly sliced
6 slices of meat of your choice, cut into small pieces
50g cheese of your choice, grated
Method:
Heat the grill.
Spread each pitta bread with 1 tbsp tomato purée.
Sprinkle over the mixed herbs, then lay on the tomato slices.
Divide the salami between the pittas and then sprinkle over the cheese.
Place under the grill until the cheese is golden and bubbling.
This week, the children in Cookery Club focused on their cutting skills and made their own interpretation of a pitta pizza with toppings of their choice. A majority of the children decided to have several choices of ingredients.
To all those attending Cookery Club, you have done amazingly well this week with your cutting skills and creativity.
