Principal's Message:

It's been another busy week here at LPPA.

Year 1 visited Leeds Castle on Tuesday. They focused upon exploring the castle and grounds through art. They behaved impeccably well and were excellent representatives of the academy. A big thank you to the Year 1 team for organising such an interesting and enjoyable school trip.

Yesterday, our Young Voices choir visited the O2 Arena for the annual concert. They worked so hard towards it and were so excited about going. Despite it being a very long day, they sung their hearts and were wonderful representatives of the academy.

Next week we will be having our A-Life Workshops that were a great success last year. We're looking forward to the children engaging with them this year too. Thank you to Mr Humphrey for organising this.

Mr Dodds recently sent out a letter asking for feedback about our new approach to recording behaviour points on MCAS. We have an overwhelmingly positive response with some really practical actions that we are excited to take forward. Thank you to everyone who has provided us with feedback, there is still time to respond if you haven't already.

Have a lovely weekend.

Miss Brading

Contacting the class teachers:

If you have concerns that you would like to raise with the academy, please do so via the office email address which is contactus@langleyparkprimaryacademy.org.uk. Upon receipt, your email will be directed to the relevant member(s) of staff.

We respectfully ask that you address any concerns or issues with your child's class teacher in the first instance. If it remains unresolved then your concern will then be escalated to Mrs Neame, Vice Principal. In the unlikely event that it continues to remain unresolved, it will be escalated to Miss Brading at that point.

We are also aware that some parents continue to email staff directly. In the event that this happens, staff have been asked to forward your email to the aforementioned email address to resume communication via the correct channels.

National Online Safety Guide

Devices such as smartphones, laptops and tablets are now deeply ingrained into modern society as a result of being used regularly for communication, work, shopping and entertainment. It is therefore no surprise that young people, who have grown up surrounded by all of these gadgets, can sometimes struggle to put them down, switch them off or keep themselves occupied without them.

Limiting your child(ren)'s screen time may require a great deal of restraint, however the effort can be rewarded with significant benefits to our mental health. The below guide includes some simple tips for helping to manage the amount of screen time in your household, encouraging the whole family to spend more quality time together and live in the moment as a result.

A reminder that all of our parent/carer community are invited to create an account with National Online Safety, which provides a wide range of resources such as the guides we include in our newsletters, courses and video resources.
