Principal's Message:

With only 2 weeks of term left to go, the children's learning is going from strength to strength. We are constantly hearing such wonderful feedback from parents about how much their children are sharing about their learning at home. We have also noticed that children are becoming more confident in making links within their learning which helps them know more and remember more.

This week, our mixed boys and girls football team played their first match in the Greenfields Football Tournament. They won 9-0 against the other team, with two players scoring hat tricks. To say we are proud of them would be an understatement! Well done to all players involved.

We have noticed that a number of children are still coming through the office in the morning. Unless it has been specifically agreed with the school, children should be entering the school through the designated doors with their peers. This helps their day to start in a calm and settled way so please support your child with this by getting them to school on time.

We also continue to notice that there are some children who continue to wear incorrect uniform to school. The areas that we have noticed most are;

Most of our children look impeccably smart when they come to school by following our clearly laid out uniform policy; they are very proud of their uniform. This means that when our uniform policy is not followed it is more noticeable. To be very clear on the aforementioned areas -

As always, we are hugely appreciative of our parents' support and working in partnership is supporting the children exponentially.

Have a fabulous weekend.

Office Reminders:

Please remember to check any behaviour points that your child has been awarded each day. These are updated in real time; behaviour points are a great conversation starter regarding your child's day at school and having this discussion with your child plays a vital role in supporting them in making the right choices.

Behaviour points can be viewed in My Child at School/Behaviour. From here it is possible for you see what points your child has earned, the date they were earned and why they have earned them.

As a reminder, below are the thresholds that your child can work towards to achieve certificates and badges for behaviour points earned:

Contacting the class teachers:

If you have concerns that you would like to raise with the academy, please do so via the office email address which is contactus@langleyparkprimaryacademy.org.uk. Upon receipt, your email will be directed to the relevant member(s) of staff.

We respectfully ask that you address any concerns or issues with your child's class teacher in the first instance. If it remains unresolved then your concern will then be escalated to Mrs Neame, Vice Principal. In the unlikely event that it continues to remain unresolved, it will be escalated to Miss Brading at that point.

We are also aware that some parents continue to email staff directly. In the event that this happens, staff have been asked to forward your email to the aforementioned email address to resume communication via the correct channels.

National Online Safety Guide

Snapchat is a photo-sharing and video-sharing app through which users can chat with friends via text or audio. Images and videos can be shared with specific friends, or as a 'story' (documenting the previous 24 hours) which is visible to a person's entire friend list.

Snapchat usage increased significantly during the lockdown periods, with many young people using it to stay connected with their peers. The app continues to develop features to engage an even larger audience and emulate current trends, rivalling platforms such as TikTok and Instagram.

In the guide below you will find tips on avoiding potential risks such as sexting, visible location and contact from strangers.
