As we wrap up another busy week at our school, I am filled with pride reflecting on the enriching experiences our children have had over the past few days. Our academy community continues to thrive, and it's wonderful to see all pupils engaging with both learning and local initiatives.
On Tuesday, our wonderful Seedlings Nursery children visited Rose Water Care Home to celebrate National Lego Day. The excitement on their faces was truly heartwarming! It was a lovely opportunity for our youngest learners to connect with the residents, building not only Lego but friendships. The smiles shared and the laughter exchanged created such a joyful atmosphere, demonstrating the power of community and creativity.
Wednesday was another highlight as our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) pupils took part in a delightful Lunar New Year workshop led by The Education Group. The children explored the rich traditions and vibrant festivities of this special occasion, learning all about the significance of the festival and the importance of family. It was inspiring to see their curiosity and enthusiasm as they crafted decorations and participated in storytelling activities that brought the celebrations to life.
On Thursday, Year 5 pupils had an engaging storytelling workshop that transported them to far-off lands and fascinating tales. The children were captivated as they listened and learned about the art of storytelling, encouraging their imagination and creativity. It was a fantastic way to foster a love for literature and inspire our pupils to express themselves through their own narratives.
As always, I thank you for your continued support. Let’s keep celebrating these joyful moments together as we nurture our children’s love of learning.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Miss S Brading
Please be reminded that, at the end of the academy day, the priority of all staff is the safe dismissal of all pupils, whether this is from the class gate or the academy office. The academy office in particular is often very busy and congested during peak periods and this poses a further challenge when staff are trying to ensure children are collected safely or redirected to any club they may be signed up to attend.
We respectfully ask that you wait patiently for all children to be dismissed before approaching staff with any queries or concerns. Thank you for your cooperation with this matter.
