As we wrap up another week at the academy, I hope this message finds you well and looking forward to the weekend!
Firstly, I am thrilled to announce our recent collaboration with A-Life who have been running engaging workshops focused on healthy lifestyles. These sessions have captivated pupils of all ages, encouraging them to explore a variety of exciting and varied activities. From mindfulness exercises to interactive games, the children were learning invaluable lessons about taking care of both their minds and bodies. It has been heartwarming to see such enthusiasm and engagement and I truly believe that such a focus on health and wellbeing will have a lasting impact.
On Thursday, the Langley Choir had the most wonderful experience at the O2 for the annual Young Voices event! They enthusiastically performed an exciting selection of songs alongside a stunning 50-piece live band. Their energy was infectious, and they truly represented the academy impeccably. The camaraderie among the choir members was evident as they enjoyed every moment of the event. Some of the artists that they sung alongside or watch perform included MC Grammar, Tommy Blaze and Souparnika Nair. Most importantly, they had an absolute blast, creating memories that will last a lifetime!
As we navigate the bustling academy site each day, I would like to gently remind everyone about the speed limit in the car park, which is set at 5mph. This regulation is not merely a guideline; it is crucial for ensuring the safety of our children, staff and visitors. A little consideration can go a long way in keeping everyone safe.
Additionally, when using the car park for drop-off and pick-up, please ensure that you are using the designated bays correctly. We have noticed a few instances of cars parked in disabled spaces that aren’t occupied by blue badge holders. These spaces are vital for those who require them and your cooperation in keeping these areas clear is therefore greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your ongoing support and commitment to our academy community. Let us continue to work together to foster a safe, caring, and healthy environment for our children.
Have a lovely weekend.

Mother's Day
Information has been shared through My Child at School regarding Mother's Day and two opportunities that you and your child(ren) can get involved in as follows:
Pamper Raffle
Raffle tickets can be purchased via My Child at School/Store and for every £1.00 spent, one raffle ticket will be entered into the raffle draw in the name of the person making the purchase. First prize is an incredible Spa Day at a nearby luxury spa hotel, including a rejuvenating facial treatment and nutritious lunch and access to spa spaces, a pool and fabulous fitness facilities. This is an amazing prize and we can't wait to hand this over to a special someone within our parent/carer community.
You could also win a 'Pamper Hamper' filled with treats and goodies for a special someone in your family. Please do purchase some raffle tickets via My Child at School before the deadline of Monday 24th March 2025.
Gifts for a Special Someone
All children are invited to purchase and make a small personalised gift for Mother's Day that can be given to Mum/Mummy or any other special person. Payment should be made via My Child at School/Store by Friday 21st March. Please note that there is only one gift available per child so we kindly ask that you do not make payment for multiple items. Please also be aware that supplies will be purchased in advance for all children for whom payment is received and, as a result, if payment is not received by the deadline for your child(ren) to participate, they will not make or bring home a gift.

We respectfully ask that you address any concerns or issues with your child's class teacher in the first instance. If it remains unresolved then your concern will then be escalated to the Key Stage Lead and/or Mrs Neame, Vice Principal. In the unlikely event that it continues to remain unresolved, it will be escalated to Miss Brading at that point.
