It feels quite surreal that this will be the last Principal’s message I write for a little while.
I have been Principal at Langley Park for four and a half years and what a privilege it has been. I feel incredibly lucky to be part of such a supportive and dynamic community. I am often asked how I have managed to remain at work for so long during my pregnancy and I truly believe it is because of the wonderful people, staff, children, and parents who have surrounded me every day. Experiencing such a significant life event while being part of this academy has been uniquely special, with daily moments of joy and connection with the children that I will always treasure.
My final day today has been truly wonderful and I have felt so cared for. I was able to share some exciting news with the children and it feels only right that I share it with you too… the baby is, and has always been, a girl! (I hope the Traitors reference has been appreciated!)
From one last day to another imminent farewell. Mrs Dennison, who many of you will know from the academy office, will be retiring on 1st February after seven years at Langley Park. I know her departure will be met with sadness, however she is more than ready to enjoy a different pace of life. Mrs Dennison has been integral to the academy and will be sorely missed by so many. I am sure we will stay in touch and we very much look forward to hearing about the adventures she will embark upon with her newfound time.
It is now time for me to say goodbye, for now, and for one last time (for a year), I wish you all a very lovely weekend.

Most smartphones will allow parents and carers to choose which apps and features appear on their child's device and which ones don't. This significantly helps to prevent young people from buying and downloading anything that is unsuitable for their age.
The below guide includes some helpful tips relating to built-in apps, the game centre and app store purchases and offers specific advice around parental controls for managing apps on iPhones, thus reducing the chance of your child using any game or app that might not be age appropriate.
We respectfully ask that you address any concerns or issues with your child's class teacher in the first instance. If it remains unresolved then your concern will then be escalated to the Key Stage Lead and/or Mrs Neame, Vice Principal. In the unlikely event that it continues to remain unresolved, it will be escalated to Miss Brading at that point.
