We are now in full Christmas swing!
This week we were treated to the wonderful KS1 Christmas Performance of “The Fleece Force”! This delightful story, created by 'Out of the Ark', is based on the traditional Nativity story but from the perspective of a police force of sheep! Busy Bethlehem is being well and truly looked after by 'The Fleece Force', who are keeping the peace and making sure that only those who are there for the census are let in! However, this proves harder than anticipated as the nativity story unfolds and shepherds, kings and angels amongst others turn up. It’s a lot for Constable Woolly, who is new to the job, but Constable Jumper is on hand to join the dots and lead them all to the stable and the newborn King.
I must commend our talented children for their exceptional singing and the heartfelt delivery of their lines. Their enthusiasm and stage presence shone brightly, evoking joy and laughter amongst families and friends. The effort and dedication displayed truly exemplified their hard work throughout the rehearsals.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to our remarkable staff who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to bring this performance to life. Their commitment and creativity were pivotal in ensuring that the event was a resounding success.
We are also immensely grateful for the positive feedback from parents. Your kind words have a profound impact on our pupils, boosting their confidence and reinforcing the importance of the arts in education. Thank you all for making this festive occasion unforgettable!
The Christmas fun continues with our Christmas Fair today. We are so looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible for a wonderfully festive time. Huge thanks to the academy staff, in particular Miss Everett, who have made this happen in addition to their busy day-to-day roles, might I add. We are also extremely grateful for the various generous donations towards different stalls that will be on offer. It really is a community effort!
Have a brilliant weekend!
