Welcome back to the start of a new term. I hope everyone enjoyed a restful and refreshing break and is feeling ready for the weeks ahead.
As we begin the term, we have experienced some inclement weather and I would like to thank parents and carers for your understanding and flexibility during this time. Your cooperation has been greatly appreciated as we work to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children and staff.
Despite the cold conditions, our children have embraced learning opportunities beyond the classroom. Year 1 pupils recently enjoyed a walk around the local area where they had lots of fun exploring their surroundings. This was made even more special as snow began to fall during their walk. It was a wonderful experience for the children involved and a memorable way to bring learning to life.
With the colder and wetter weather continuing, we kindly remind families to ensure children are dressed appropriately each day. Warm layers, waterproof jackets and suitable footwear help children stay comfortable and ready to learn, particularly during outdoor activities.
A new term brings fresh opportunities for learning, growth, and connection. Our staff have been working hard to prepare engaging lessons and activities and we look forward to seeing children return with enthusiasm and positive energy. As always, our focus remains on high expectations, wellbeing and creating a supportive school environment.
This week, Mrs Smith has also started her role as Interim Principal at Langley Park. I would d like to extend my thanks to the whole academy community for making Mrs Smith feel so welcomed. She is really looking forward to leading the academy for the next 12 months. We have had a really comprehensive handover to ensure that the transition is as smooth as it can be.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership. We look forward to another productive and rewarding term together.
Have a lovely weekend.
Miss S Brading

We respectfully ask that you address any concerns or issues with your child's class teacher in the first instance. If it remains unresolved then your concern will then be escalated to the Key Stage Lead and/or Mrs Neame, Vice Principal. In the unlikely event that it continues to remain unresolved, it will be escalated to Miss Brading at that point.
