It's been an incredible first week back following our two week half term.
You will have noticed that, over the half term, we have finally had the car park lines repainted to create additional car park spaces. It has been a long time coming but we are over the moon that it has finally been completed. Please note that no parent, apart from those with a blue badge, should be parking in the staff parking area. It is clearly labelled so this should not create any confusion.
Thank you for all of your sweet donations for the Christmas Fair as part of our Non-School Uniform day yesterday. There will be more information about our Christmas Fair shared in due course.
We are really pleased to be able to now offer peripatetic piano lessons. The children who have signed up for it have had their first sessions already and are really enjoying it. We are looking to offer further music lessons for other instruments in the future, so please keep an eye out for this should you be interested for your child to take part.
This Sunday, as you will know, is Remembrance Sunday. We will be acknowledging Remembrance Day on Monday 11th November with a one minute silence at 11:00. Children who attend clubs like Beavers, Rainbows, Scouts and Brownies etc can wear their uniforms to school on this day.
Next week, is also Anti-Bullying Week which is a really important date in a school calendar. In order to raise awareness of this and mark the start of the themed week, children across the country will be wearing odd socks with their school uniform on Tuesday 12th November. If your child would like to take part in this, we welcome and encourage them to do the same.
Finally, we would also like to remind you that children can wear something spotty on Friday 15th November for Children In Need as a way to raise awareness and money for an important cause.
Thank you and have a wonderful weekend.
Miss S Brading

Most families these days have a multitude of devices at home. These devices are often used by the children of the household, with many smartphones, laptops, consoles and tablets being exclusively used by the youngest members of the family. However, between the online safety risks that come with this technology and the physical, emotional and mental impacts of overuse, it can be a good idea to set some ground rules for the sake of children's wellbeing.
Agreeing rules around the use of technology within the home can sometimes pose a challenge and it can be difficult to know what is reasonable, what might be a step too far and what doesn't go far enough. The below guide offers top-level advice regarding how to successfully consider and enforce rules for using devices at home.
A reminder that all of our parent/carer community are invited to create an account with National Online Safety, which provides a wide range of resources such as the guides we include in our newsletters, courses and video resources. We respectfully ask that you address any concerns or issues with your child's class teacher in the first instance. If it remains unresolved then your concern will then be escalated to the Key Stage Lead and/or Mrs Neame, Vice Principal. In the unlikely event that it continues to remain unresolved, it will be escalated to Miss Brading at that point.
