ABSE Chromebooks are located at: DCA, Room 206 (Dean’s office) in the laptop cart (cow). Chromebooks are now in laptop bags along with chargers and a mouse. Please double check that all three are in the bag when checking one out to a student.
Please follow the procedures below when checking out Chromebook to students:
Make sure to check out ABSE Chromebook to registered ABSE students only.
Please use strict precautions when delivering equipment to students. Wet wipes and gloves are available.
Instructors are asked to contact students to find out about their technology needs and make arrangements to meet students at DCA for Chromebook check-out.
Faculty no longer need an authorization to come to campus. Please email Anna the date and time you will be on campus, complete the health Self-Screening Survey, and inform Public Safety of your arrival and departure at 541-463-5558.
All instructors who are teaching this term have access to enter Mary Spilde Center with their key card. If you don’t have a key and need assistance to get in the office, please contact Zsuzsanna at malekzs@lanecc.edu to coordinate access to the office.
Please update Chromebook Check-Out spreadsheet as you check out Chromebooks to students. Make sure to enter the Chromebook ID number (5 digit number) next to the touch pad. It is important to have student information and Device ID numbers on the spreadsheet for student accountability.
Have students fill out the Chromebook Chromebook Agreement form that is placed close by the Chromebook locations in their respective rooms. Leave the form after it is signed by the student. If you’re delivering a Chromebook to your student, make sure to take the form with you, have the student sing it, and send a copy(photo) of the form via email to Zsuzsanna (malekzs@lanecc.edu)
Please communicate the following to your students:
Students are to return the Chromebook to LCC as soon as the student stops attending classes or completes the term. Chromebooks are due back if student stops attending classes.
Chromebooks are to be used only by the student for course work.
Just like in the computer labs, no food and drinks are allowed next to the Chromebook.
Students are to treat the Chromebook properly and protect it from loss, theft and damages.
