In order for students to be issued official GED test vouchers by our department we have the following rules in place.
--Students must share their GED test scores on the GED.com site with LCC so that we may monitor their progress and the use of LCC provided vouchers.
--Students must have at least 12 hours of attendance during this academic year and be currently enrolled.
--The student must live in the State of Oregon and plan on using the voucher in the State of Oregon.
--Students must have a passing GED Ready score in the subject that they are requesting a voucher for.
--Students must have a valid CASAS pre-test (suspended while not CASAS testing)
--Students must have more than 40 hours and a CASAS post-test for the 4th voucher (suspended while not CASAS testing)
For Official GED tests please use the following procedure to make voucher requests for your students. We are not requiring a form to be filled out by you or the student.
1. Please ask the student you are making a voucher request for to ensure that they have given LCC access to see the students test scores on GED.com.
2. Please ask the student to verify that they have passed a GED Ready test in the subject that they are requesting an official voucher for.
3. Send ABSE Registration an email with the students name, L#, GED ID#, and test subject. The student should be able to provide you with their GED ID#.
4. When the office gets that information, we will check to see if the student has at least 12 hours of instruction this academic year, is currently enrolled, and that the student has passed the GED Ready test in the subject that they are requesting a real test voucher for. If those 3 items check out we will issue a letter to the student with up to 2 GED vouchers at one time.
Please note the following:
- Due to high numbers of unused vouchers last year, students are currently limited to a maximum of 2 official test vouchers at one time. After those vouchers have been used, students may request additional vouchers.
- Due to high numbers of unused vouchers last year, all vouchers that are unused after 3 months of issue date will be re-issued to other students.
- Vouchers will not be reissued for the same test for missed appointments, regardless of the reason.
- Students can ask for retest vouchers if they do not pass a test the first time. Please be specific when making your request if this is for a retake voucher as the voucher numbers are different and priced differently.
-- For your information GED vouchers are identified by the letters at the beginning of each voucher
GERT12345678: GERT = GEdReTake
GEO123456789: GEO = GEdOfficial
GEPL12345678: GEPL = GEdPractice
Any official voucher you request should come back with a voucher beginning with GEO.
