The School Improvement Council exists of parents, educators, and community stakeholders working to improve the local schools.
The main emphasis is to improve local schools. The School Improvement Council works with the school to develop and implement a five-year school improvement plan, also known as a school renewal plan. This plan sets goals and objectives for the school. Through a collaborative effort, the School Improvement Council and the school work to reach these goals and objectives throughout the year. In addition, the council reviews the school's report card and helps write the narrative.
