Director of Bands, Percussion Director
Mr. Zambrano graduated with his Bachelors in Music Education from Tarleton State University in May of 2015. During his career, Mr. Zambrano has been a part of countless UIL sweepstakes awards, many students making the ATSSB All-Region bands, multiple students advancing to ATSSB Area auditions and State band, countless 1st Division ratings at UIL Solo and Ensemble, and multiple ensembles advancing to UIL State Solo and Ensemble. Mr. Zambrano is currently the Director of Bands at LISD. He lives in Lampasas with his wife Marisol, sons Jason, Alex, and Leon, and dogs Freida and Oso.

Assistant Band Director, Percussion Director
Colby is a graduate of Tarleton State University with a degree in Percussion Performance. During his time at Tarleton, he performed with the Wind Ensemble, served as Drumline Captain, and taught percussion students at Stephenville ISD. Most recently, he served as Assistant Band Director at Carthage ISD, teaching percussion, beginner saxophone, and directing concert ensembles. In addition to his classroom experience, Colby has spent several years teaching private lessons, leading drumlines, and mentoring student musicians. He is passionate about helping students grow as musicians, leaders, and people, and is excited to join the Lampasas Band family!

Head Middle School Band Director
Hunter Steele is a graduate of Tarleton State University with a degree in Music Education and a certificate in Jazz Studies. While studying at Tarleton, he performed with the Tarleton Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensembles 1 and 2, as well as the Tarleton Jazz Combo. He additionally competed at the National Trumpet Competition for several years, placing 7th in 2023.
In his previous position, Hunter was the Head Middle School Band Director at Edgewood ISD. His middle school band and beginner band were consistently awarded Superior and Excellent ratings at performances. He also helped the Edgewood High School band advance to Area after receiving sweepstakes for the first time in many years at the UIL marching competition. Hunter is very passionate about finding performance opportunities for students and is excited to contribute to the Lampasas Badger Band's welcoming community and sense of pride within the band culture.

Assistant Middle School Director
Mr. Yarbrough is a graduate from Tarleton State University with a Bachelors in Music Education with a Certificate in Jazz Studies. Originaly from Big Spring Texas. This is the beginning of his career and his first directing position. During his time at Tarleton he was a part of the Jazz 1 band, Latin Band, Saxophone Choir, and Jazz Combo ensembles. In his personal life he lives with his girlfriend Destiny, and two corgis Webber and Mocha. He loves video games and listening to jazz. He is extremely excited to be a part of the Lampasas community and cannot wait to start working with the all our amazing students.
