Our purpose is to help students beat academic burnout
We decided to create a campaign on academic burnout because we recognized the pressures and struggles high school students face to achieve academic success. Academic burnout can often lead to drugs and depression, ruining students' mental health. Through our Instagram posts and Spotify podcast episodes, we give students helpful advice on how to avoid academic burnout. Always remember, academic success begins with a healthy mind.
Academic burnout is a reaction to the stress, frustration, and anxiety that occurs from prolonged academic struggles. The exhaustion, lack of sleep, motivation, creativity, and confidence all lead to mental, emotional, and physical tolls on ones body and health. It can also lead to the development of severe mental illnesses including depression, suicidal thoughts, eating disorders, and sleep disorders.
Our social media posts are a great source for knowledge and tips to avoid and overcome academic burnout. It provides deeper insight into how academic burnout can really affect one's mental health. We also began a self-care challenge where we share one way people can take care of themselves every day. Similarly, we began a study challenge, where we challenged our followers to study at least 25 minutes a day. These challenges ensure students stay academically productive and learn to manage their mental health.Â
