Velocity
Velocity is the premier show choir from Purvis Middle School. Membership is open to any hardworking student with good grades and discipline. Velocity Show Choir members are exposed to all facets of vocal training and performance. Members participate in Mississippi Show Choir Circuit and MMEA activities as well as performing several concerts each year.
Show choir is a place of enjoyment. We have fun but most of the time we are serious cause we want to try our hardest to win but most importantly we do it to have fun and let out all of our sound that is within us. I might have got bullied in six grade but show choir helped me through it because it was always like a second family to me. I had people that were my friends and people I could trust we have competition and when we perform we have fun we are in it to win it but mostly to just have fun and enjoy what might get us somewhere in life. I love show choir and all the people in it cause we are like a little family outside of home- Brett Hartfield
