Biology I
Algebra I
English II- 10th grade
A PASSING SCORE ON THESE EXAMS IS A GRADUATION REQUIREMENT. THE EXAMS ARE ONLY OFFERED TWICE PER YEAR- IN DECEMBER AND APRIL/MAY. You do not have to do any registration for state assessments because the testing coordinator will take care of this process.
THE ACT SCORE MAY TAKE THE PLACE OF THE FAILING SCORE: ACT ENGLISH=17 FOR ENGLISH II; ACT SCIENCE=17 FOR BIOLOGY I; AND ACT MATH=17 FOR ALGEBRA I.
THERE IS A CONCORDANCE TABLE THAT IS USED IF THE STUDENT'S GRADE WAS HIGH IN THE CLASS AND THEY MISSED THE PASSING SCORE BY A FEW POINTS. THIS CAN TAKE THE PLACE OF THE ASSESSMENT. YOUR SCHOOL COUNSELOR WILL LET YOU KNOW IF YOUR STUDENT PASSED USING THE CONCORDANCE TABLE.
In a student's senior year, if they have not passed one of the three state tests, the student will be enrolled in a special class. This class, if passed, will replace of any state-tested areas that the student was unable to pass.
