We are excited to welcome you to Lamar High School and look forward to being your School Counselors throughout your high school journey! As your School Counselors, we are here to support you every step of the way. We will work alongside you to discover your interests, explore your future, and create a plan that aligns with your goals, dreams, and aspirations. LHS offers a wide variety of courses and programs designed to meet the individual needs and interests of our students, and we are here to help you make choices that will prepare you for life after high school.
While academics are an important part of your success, we know that education is about much more than grades, classes, and homework. Your overall well-being matters, too. Whether you are navigating peer conflicts, managing stress or anxiety, facing a personal challenge, or simply need someone to talk to, we are here to listen, support you, and help you find a path forward.
Parents and families, you play an incredibly important role in your student's success. Your encouragement, involvement, and support can make a lasting difference throughout your child's high school experience. Staying connected to your student's academic progress, encouraging them to take an active role in their education, and helping them set goals for their future are important steps toward success. Together, we can help your child make the most of their high school experience and prepare for a successful future.
