SNAP
Goal: Be the first person to collect 5 sticks
Supplies:
Word cards (create your own or click here.)
Cup or pouch to draw sticks from
Popsicle sticks (note cards, or scraps of paper can also be used) (25 total)
mark 5 with the word “snap”, 5 with a dot, and leave the rest blank word cards
Directions:
Player one reads the word (not visible to player 2) while player 2 writes the word
Both players check the spelling together.
If the word is correct, player 2 draws a stick and then players switch roles.
If the word is incorrect player 2 rewrites the word correctly. Players switch roles without drawing a stick.
If when revealing the word, it is noticed the word was read incorrectly, the turn is replayed with a new word.
If a “Snap” stick is drawn, all BLANK sticks are returned to the cup.
Sticks with a dot on them do NOT need to be returned.
