Knowledge Bowl is a team sport consisting of three rounds per meet, each with 45 questions and three teams per room. The questions are trivia from all sorts of academic subjects, from sports to astronomy and physics to musicals. Every meet is open for public viewing. Knowledge Bowl is available at both the Junior High and Senior High levels, and both Lakeview groups are led by their coach Karen Hartke. The Junior High season takes place in late-fall to mid-winter, and the Senior High season takes place in late-winter through early-spring.
The Junior High regional meet was held at Southwest Minnesota State University on January 15th, 2026. The Lakeview Junior High team that got the highest score—19th place out of 33 teams—was made up of Miles Jans, Andrew Rorvik, Brayton VanHecke, and Colton Wold, all of whom are 7th graders.
The Senior High season began recently, when the first meet was held at Red Rock Central in Lamberton, on January 12th, 2026. Lakeview had one, four-person team present at the meet. The team, composed of the Juniors Cayden Bott, Kendra Jahn, Ryeland Johnson, and Adrian Lewison, managed to place sixth out of the 12 total teams with a score of 30, putting them in the 54.5% percentile and tying with the “Marshall 5” team.
Currently, our three Senior High teams continue to practice hard during lunch in Mrs. Remiger's classroom, answering practice questions and competing against each other. As the Senior High season continues to develop, fellow students are permitted and encouraged to attend meets to support their school and friends.
