Next week will be June, and our last few days of school!
We've been enjoying doing our usual class "things". Volunteering at Bella Point and Harvest Hills. Visits with Andrew, learning about how to implement restorative practices. We've also been enjoying new things that Spring has brought us such as Gardening with Erika- our very own band teacher.
In science we've been learning about the processes that take place within the plants we are growing such as photosynthesis and cellular respiration. In social studies, we have begun learning about WWII.
This month we went on several trips to wrap up the year. This included a trip to a Sea Dogs game for our 8th graders, and a sailing trip for our 7th graders. We also went to Bridgton Historical Society and took a historic walk of our town. This Friday Causeway Academy has a trip to the top of Mount Washington!
We are counting down the days to the end of an exciting and full year here at Causeway.
This is our first ever year of Causeway Academy! Our program aims to engage students in their education by involving their own interests. Students are encouraged to work on their own individual projects, reach out to organizations they are interested in, and get more involved in the community.
