Advanced Learning Program fifth grade students from Twin Lakes and John Brown elementary schools in the Lakeland Joint School District recently achieved first and third place in the Idaho Exhibition of Ideas showcase.
The regional competition, organized by Idaho STEM Ecosystem and held March 8 in Potlatch, focuses on equipping students with practical, technical and creative skills to tackle real-world problems. The challenge for this year's competition was to design a solution related to veterinary science and present it through a prototype incorporating 3D printing technology. Twin Lakes' first-place team received a 3D printer and $250. John Brown's third-place team received $250.
