Jubilee

Hi! I’m Jubilee and I am Editor in Chief. Aside from looking over our news and working with my classmates, you won’t just find me working. I love listening to music, especially certain bands like Linkin park, Limp Bizkit, and Green day. In my down time you might catch me watching my favorite shows like Impractical Jokers or rewatching my favorite movies like The Sixth Sense. I love my position here in the community of journalism… almost as much as I love nagging to Ms. Otero and bothering Mr. Kilbourne. Thank you for taking your time to read about me. Meet Valentina, a courageous New writer on our editing team. As the Managing editor, she keeps everything organized by telling everyone the time and deadline when you should submit the writing. Beyond the job, Valentina is a lover of books and traveling, reading a new creation every day and trying to find some place to visit while on break. Whether reading another book in a day or traveling in her free time, she adds structure and creativity to our articles.

Alice

Alice Fagundes is a serious and quiet student who works for the Pointe; she works as the feature story editor and makes sure her peers are on task. For someone who might not talk as much, Alice will make sure that you won’t feel left out from others who upset you. Having a knack for psychological horrors, anime and comic books, if you enjoy sharing your interests and perhaps making a friend along the way, have a chat with Alice!

Ismarlyn is an active13-year-old girl with an insatiable imagination for what surrounds her. As a key part of the reporting team, he is always in search of the perfect information. In his free time, his favorite hobbies are reading and listening to music about a little bit of everything.

Andre

Meet Andre Dias, a Staff Writer from Porto Alegre, Brazil. He is bringing new and interesting ideas to our team of writers for the newspaper. He is covering the latest news happening around the world and is always interested in science and entertainment news. Andre is always bringing a new and interesting insight to all of his stories. In his free time, he is an avid weather enthusiast and a SKYWARN Spotter for the National Weather Service for the Tampa Bay area. He is always paying close attention to tropical systems, severe weather patterns, and even the dynamics of the upper atmosphere. On a clear day, you might be able to find him appreciating all things vaporwave. He also enjoys curating the ultimate 80s synth-pop playlist. Andre is always ready to get to the truth of a story, rain or shine.

Meet, Stanley Cousins. I am a creative person who wants to bring a nice creative vibe to the Journalism team. I like to play all types of games like board games and online games. I am a clean, neat, nice and smart person.

I have a passion for drawing! I really like alternative music like Vocaloid, Living Tombstone and grunge type music. I don't really fit the norm. I enjoy watching anime such as jjk (Jujutsu Kaisen), promised neverland, and bee & puppy cat. I also like reading series such as Warrior cats, Percy Jackson, and Wings of fire.

Anhika

Anhika is part of the reporting team, where she researches and writes stories that capture observations and moments. Her life perspective guides her writing, allowing creativity and reflection to flow in every word. In her free time, she finds peace listening to ambient music, reading philosophy, watching films, or simply drawing.

Jonah

I’m Jonah a 7th grade, artist, writer, and your inside source at The Point, our school's journalism Team. I love to draw and write. I’m taking journalism because of my dream to pursue journalism as a career one day. Other than that, I love shows like One Piece, Adventure Time, and Steven universe. I also love the Legend Of Zelda games a lot as well!

Meet Jordyn, a 13 year old, kind and lighthearted girl. She loves drawing and learning new things. She hates math, and is the older sister to 5 siblings and loves them all. She is always trying to makes someones day and will never back down from a challenge.

Meet Yovaniel Rodriguez, He’s sometimes an energetic kid who’s a part of the reporting staff. In his free time he likes going to Disney parks, playing games, or just hanging out at his house, but it’s mostly playing games. He has always wanted to go to Epic Universe at Universal since the park first opened, and he has always wanted to go to Disneyland in California. He is nice to people that he knows but he is extremely shy to new people that he has met recently. He likes watching movies and new shows that interest him.

Meet Laecie: The team's human sunshine and the Stranger Things finale theorist. If she's not on the phone or playing roblox she's tasing her taste buds with her favorite foods. Her love for spicy foods is unbearable. She loves takis and buldak ramen. But behind all of the spicy food she will always be there for you and give you a welcoming hand, or a shoulder to cry on.

Meet Anaya, she is a girl who wants to join the military one day. Her dream is to be a neurosurgeon to pay bills for her mother. She loves to play horror games and watch her favorite youtubers on youtube. She loves spending time with people and loves to chat with her friends.

Ms. Otero

Ms. Otero serves as The Pointes' Staff Advisor, guiding students in journalism with passion and dedication. Outside the classroom, she enjoys diving into a good book, going to theme parks, watching hockey and going to concerts. Her love for teaching and creativity inspires students to think critically, communicate effectively, and chase their dreams.
