Course Progression

All incoming 9th grade students in AICE will take AICE English General Paper and AICE Thinking Skills (from the Optional Category). This will serve as a crucial foundation in every student’s reading, writing, and critical thinking skills that will be utilized throughout every content area moving forward in the program.

Cambridge AICE Diploma

In order to attain the AICE Diploma, students need to pass seven AS or A Level exams within three school years (9th-11th or 10th-12th). At least one exam must come from each of the following subject groups: Mathematics and Sciences, Languages, Arts and Humanities, and Core. To receive the AICE Diploma, the exam in the Core Category MUST be passed.

There is an Optional Category in which exams can be used to meet the required amount needed for the AICE Diploma. In some circumstances, a student may have to retake an exam from the Optional Category in order for the score to count within the three year timeframe.
