I am blessed to say I have been teaching nearly 30 years. I began my career with deaf and hard of hearing preK-1st grade students. For the majority of my teaching career I have taught first grade El Cerrito. Last year I was thrilled to be presented with the opportunity to teach fourth grade. I have truly loved embracing new challenges and adventures with older students and this year will be fantastic.

When I am not at school I love spending time with my husband, my adult son and my daughter who is a student at Azusa Pacific University. We enjoy spending time with church activities, camping and watching Formula 1 races together. We are avid fans! I also love reading great novels across a variety of genres.

I look forward to getting to know each student and family in my class. Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year!

Tengo la suerte de decir que he estado enseñando casi 30 años. Comencé mi carrera con estudiantes de prekínder a primer grado sordos y con problemas de audición. Durante la mayor parte de mi carrera docente, he enseñado primer grado en El Cerrito. El año pasado me emocionó que me presentaran la oportunidad de enseñar cuarto grado. Realmente me ha encantado aceptar nuevos desafíos y aventuras con estudiantes mayores y este año será fantástico.

Cuando no estoy en la escuela, me encanta pasar tiempo con mi esposo, mi hijo adulto y mi hija que estudia en la Universidad Azusa Pacific. Disfrutamos pasar tiempo con las actividades de la iglesia, acampar y ver carreras de Fórmula 1 juntos. ¡Somos ávidos fanáticos! También me encanta leer grandes novelas en una variedad de géneros.
