Statement:

In this world that is moving today towards sustainable strategies, in wich the urban population rate in the world has exceeded the 50% threshold, which has resulted in excessive energy consumption to exceed 40% of the total energy produced in the world, and this has negatively affected the environment with all its components. This phenomenon is more evident in the cities of the south, which are rich in historical heritage that must be preserved, and the future of generations requires securing it. These cities, which produce both wealth and risk, face many challenges, including:

- Urban sprawl resulting from rapid demographic growth.

- The neglected architectural heritage, which requires a wellthought-

out, coordinated and consultative protection strategy

- Excessive energy consumption, which calls for special attention to select a sustainable strategy and energy rehabilitation in the built environment.

- Urban forms sustainability and spatial analysis new theories adoption.

- The limited use of digital systems and their weak contribution in controlling the foresight of urban phenomena in terms of data collection, analysis and simulation in order to adopt corrective scenarios for architectural reality.
