Letter Introductions
Letters are not introduced alphabetically. Rather they are introduced in an order that allows your student to begin making many words as letters are introduced. We still sing the alphabet and work on recognition of all the letters of the alphabet. However, we specifically teach one letter a week, focusing not only on recognizing the letter but also the sound(s) and how to write the letter.

Sight Words
Sight Words
We are starting to work on sight words. The following words have been introduced to your student. We spend a week on each word practicing reading and spelling the word. You can help your student practice these words at home by writing each word on an index card.
