About the Teacher

Mrs. Murray

I am thrilled to be teaching Kindergarten again. I have been working for the LaFayette School District for eleven years, eight of which have been at the Onondaga Nation School. I began as a Teaching Assistant working in the Computer Lab and in various grade levels. I took the position of the Computer Skills Teacher at the beginning of the 2015 school year and remained there until a second grade opening in January of 2017. At that time I took the opportunity to move from a Special Area to the Classroom. I am looking forward to a fun and exciting year.

Outside of School

When not in school I am a busy mother of two children. A five year-old son, who is beginning Kindergarten this year and a two year-old daughter. We enjoy trips to the zoo, reading and playing games. I dance with the Erie Canal Cloggers, we practice all year around and perform for residents in nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, and at the NY State Fair. My favorite food are Cheetos! In the Fall and Winter we enjoy cheering on the Syracuse Men's Basketball Team from the comfort of our living room. In the Spring and Summer we enjoy playing outside, camping and swimming.
