In Kind Donations

We are always in need of in kind gifts of various types to help with out projects as well as our clients. Below are a few items we are in need of on a regular basis and for our Christmas Event; Bobby's Christmas Angels Annual Gift Away. Please fill out a Non-Monetary Donation Form which you can access via the link below if you would like to donate any items such as clothing, furniture, hygiene kits, hotel vouchers, etc.

Next Spring we hope to help some of the high school students that want to go to prom but cannot afford a dress or suit. We will be collecting suits and formal dresses from now until then of any size. We have a seamstress on our volunteer team that can assist with any tears, rips, etc. within reason so feel free to donate even your damaged dresses and suits!

Business Owners

Please consider signing up with the Federal Bonding Program. Many times steady employment can mean the difference of preventing homelessness or getting off the streets. We know that some business owners would consider this a "risk" and cause them to not extend the opportunity to hire some folks but there is a solution for that. The Federal Bonding Program protects employers when they hire "at risk" employee's. If more local businesses would hire some of the most vulnerable in our community it would have an affect on so many areas that concern us all and ultimately making the community stronger all together. Business owners can also sign up with the local Work Force Development office to help employ those in need of a steady income within the community. Here are some of the details about these programs:

The Federal Bonding Program is Simple

The FBP, a unique hiring incentive tool, targets individuals whose backgrounds can pose significant barriers to securing or retaining employment, including:

• Justice-involved citizens
• Individuals in recovery from substance use disorders
• Welfare recipients
• Individuals with poor credit records
• Economically disadvantaged youth and adults who lack work histories
• Individuals dishonorably discharged from the military

The bonds issued by the FBP guarantee the job honesty of job seekers to employers who want to hire them. Employers receive the bonds – starting at $5000.00 value – free-of-charge as an incentive to hire these applicants; coverage is for the first six months of a selected individual’s term of employment. The FBP bond insurance was designed to reimburse the employer for any loss due to employee theft of money or property:

• NO special application form for job seeker to complete
• NO bond approval process
• NO Federal regulations covering bonds issued
• NO papers for employers to submit or sign
• NO follow-up or required termination actions
• NO deductible in bond insurance amount if employee dishonesty occurs
• NO bondee age requirements (other than legal working age in State)

Bonds can be applied to:

• ANY job
• ANY State
• ANY employee dishonesty committed on or away from the work site
• ANY full- or part-time employee paid wages (with Federal taxes automatically deducted from pay), including individuals hired by temp agencies. Self-employed people cannot be covered by Fidelity Bonds

Supporting local businesses with resources and tools is their priority. Their Business Services team makes it easy for you to gain access to these tools that support a strong workforce in San Bernardino County. • On-the-Job Training funds – we have funding to reimburse you for the initial training period for your new employees, up to 50 percent reimbursement of their wages for up to six months is available
• Provide tax credit information – we can help you leverage benefits through Federal and State hiring tax credits, California Competes Tax Credit, and tax credits on qualified machinery purchases
• Layoff Aversion Professional experts assist companies that are at risk of closure or reduction of employees by developing successful strategies to help the business operate more efficiently while improving productivity and reducing costs.

• Rapid Response For companies experiencing downsizing, our team of professionals coordinates appropriate services, which may include on-site assessment of needed employment and training and coordination of community access to state and economic assistance.

Landlords please take a look at the links below to learn about housing programs imperative to addressing homelessness and families living in poverty in the IE (especially our veterans). You would be surprised just how many properties do not accept these programs or how many times we have had clients with voucher in hand and nowhere to go because there were no available units with the few properties that would accept their voucher. If your property or properties do not currently accept these programs please consider signing up with appropriate agency and start working with these programs. THIS ALONE will IMPACT so many lives and strengthen our community leaps and bounds, YOU could be the change we all want to see in the community! When you give gifts, these are just some of the things you can do and ways it will help out those experiencing homelessness or living in poverty:

• Hygiene Kits - Travel soap, size shampoo, conditioner, lotion, toothpaste, toothbrush, mouthwash, deodorant, comb, brush, hair ties, kleenex, chap stick, band-aids, q-tips, baby wipes, trash bags, nail clippers, nail file, hand sanitizer. These are light weight so easy to move around with them. These help in a variety of ways, besides the obvious of looking and smelling good, it also helps to prevent the spread of germs, and other harmful illnesses.
• Cold Weather Clothing - Jeans, sweaters, coats, jackets, hoodies, socks, thermals, under garments, hats, beanies, scarves, gloves, earmuffs, tennis shoes, boots, rain coat, poncho, blankets, sleeping bags, etc. Having warm clothing will also help in keeping people on the streets from catching cold that often times results in having the flu.
• Childrens toys & books - Often children living in poverty have very few things to play with and even fewer books to read. Every year we give away backpacks of items spicifically for children at Christmas time.
• School supplies - Both children and adults use these items often for school and for personal record keeping.
• Hotel vouchers or gift cards - This year at our Annual Christmas Event we will be giving out one night hotel stays for folks that are not only working with us but working above and beyond to do their part in getting off the street. We will also be giving out one night hotel stays to two families with young children so they can spend Christmas indoors this year.
• Gas Vouchers /Gas Gift Cards - We are always in need of these.
• Bus Passes - We are always in need of these.
• Misc Furniture & Houseware - We are always in need of these items for those that get housed and have nothing. These individuals are basically starting from scratch with just the items they have been able to carry with them during their time on the streets.
• Portable Toilets - We are in desperate need of these . Again besides the obvious reasons we are also trying to help with the sanitary issues of not always having access to a restroom.
• Gym passes - We are always in need of these. They can be used for a number of things but primarily for access to showers.
• Storage bins - We are always in need of these to help maintain our storage space and keep items organized, clean, and dry.
• Meal Gift Cards - We are always in need of these to let people have a hot meal from time to time while on the streets during the winter season.
• Old cell phones - We are always in need of these. Most people on the streets have what is known as an Obama phone. However, it is very common for these phones to be stolen, lost, or broken frequently. The service provider allows the service to be switched to another phone that is compatible. Usually T-Mobile, Metro PCS, and AT&T are the most common compatible phones.
• Poster materials such as poster boards, markers, glue, tape, etc.
• Balloons & helium tank.
• Balloon arch kit and replacement placeholders.
• Our printer recently went down so we are having to print everything at FedEx Office so either a replacement printer or FedEx Office printing card. Either would be very helpful due to all the items we have to print regularly.
• Superhero attire such as t-shirts, capes, tie around masks (cover's eyes only, nothing that covers the nose or mouth please due to school requirements).
• Prizes for poster contest winners for a future Fuel For Success Superhero day.
• Anyone with a spare room, back house, garage, old RV etc. willing to either donate or work with us on cost would be a life saver for so many people right now, especially with the rains coming.
• Anything you want to donate we will accept providing we have a way to get it and space to store it. Any items donated that CAN NOT be used for any of our three projects we sell online to help fund our general fund which is 90% out of pocket costs.
• There are random needs that do come up from time to time we could use help getting but everything listed above are the main things we could use help on right now.

Imagine if we had RESOURCES for everything needed and how much more effective and efficient we could be...

The IMPACT would be HUGE and VISIBLE within the community!
