Ladies Of The IE, Inc.

#Homelessness #AntiBullying #CommUNITY Outreach

YOU ARE A REFLECTION OF YOUR COMMUNITY...YES YOU!!

Like it or not we are all a reflection of our community and that should motivate everyone to help make it the strongest, safest, friendliest, and all around best community it can possibly be. All the issues we face and are working every day to help are very complex issues that we can go on for days just trying to break down the variables, causes, and effects. Instead we will list some links for further reading at your leisure and stick to the basics that are factual and evidence based proven.

Just because these issues are very complex does not mean that nothing can be done or that YOU can't make an impact because YOU can!!! Above we listed three ways to give; #GiveMoney, #GiveTime, and #GiveGifts. There are plenty of ways to join the #Servolution with us and see how YOU can make an impact in YOUR community!!

INLAND EMPIRE

The need in our community is real ... poverty, homelessness, hunger, lack of resources, lack of housing, increasing rents, disabilities, addiction, childhood bullying & violence, children with low self esteem & low confidence, low trust levels between law enforcement & some communities, lack of increased community policing, and lack of accurate information to citizens from various sources.

The good news is #LadiesOfTheIE along with other local Nonprofits and community groups like #TeamHeartMinistries, #UplandCRT, #FuelForSuccess, #StepUpOnSecond, #TheUnitedWay and #PacificLifeline and many more work every day to help.

#LadiesOfTheIE has three main projects that address all these issues which are:

#Homelessness #AntiBullying #CommunityOutreach

Join us on this movement of #Servolution that we are jump started on #GivingTuesday so we can be well prepared, well funded, resource rich, and with the manpower and tools needed to take on these issues now and in the future.

Learn more about our community's struggles and how YOU can do your part to make the IE stronger and join the #Servolution!!

Thank you all for your support, it is appreciated more than words can express.

We could not do what we do without people like YOU!

Below is a Thank You Note From a Recipient of Our Holiday Homeless Campaign

Thank You Note From One Of The Recipients Of Our Holiday Homeless Campaign

Imagine if all the FUNDING, RESOURCES, and MANPOWER was available and accessible for all three projects and how much more effective and efficient we could be....

The IMPACT would be HUGE and VISIBLE within the COMMUNITY!

WHAT ARE THE "LADIES OF THE IE, INC." ALL ABOUT?

Ladies of the IE for Strong Communities, Inc. is a 501 c(3) nonprofit organization local to the Inland Empire, making Communities stronger one project at a time. Our three main projects address Homelessness, Anti-Bullying, & Community Outreach (trust building between law enforcement & community members).

Our Mission:

To build strong communities through our dedicated projects, events, programs, providing important community related information to the public and effective community outreach approaches.

If it matters to the community..... it matters to us!

Our Core Values:

CORE VALUES AMENDED 12/21/15, 01/10/2016

1) Knowledge is Power: An informed community is a powerful tool, we take information and accurate facts available to the community very important and will always make every attempt to inform, correct with facts and share information with the community.

2) Respect our community members: Everyone has a voice and opinion that should be heard and respected even when it differs from our own.

3) Treat others how we want to be treated and vice versa: We treat everyone the way we want to be treated no matter of any difference of opinions or views.

4) Integrity is Everything: Everything we do we do from genuine sincerity for the betterment of the community and always maintain ethical practices.

5) Individuality: Our diverse group gives us an advantage to approach projects and topics with a unique ability to see all sides. We speak as one when any of us are speaking as Ladies of the IE and we also respect all of the Ladies of the IE as being individuals with our own thoughts, beliefs, and opinions.

6) Dedication: We are dedicated to all our projects with the intent of always seeing them through within our ability.

7) Community Advocate: Our elected officials and civil servants have many avenues to be heard publicly throughout the community, the community members do not always have avenues available to them like this so it is our intention to help make the voice of the community stronger and louder. We are community advocates above anything else.

8) With Love: Everything is done with Love (AMENDED 12.21.15)

9) We do not discriminate on donations regardless of our personal feelings of the party making the donation providing that it is of legal content and does not harm the ethical code and integrity of Ladies of the IE for Strong Communities the organization, (AMENDED 01.10.16)

Testimonials & Comments From our Clients & Supporters in the Community:

  • "This is awesome, I love it. After being homeless for 11 months I have learned a lot about her and myself. We both have been homeless more than once, her longer than me and to be homeless is nothing nice. We had a 🚗, many homeless don't have cars... they sleep when they are worn out and can't walk anymore. It is sad to see rain come down in buckets and they have no shelter. Not all homeless are bad, the life they are in is all they know, there are many who are down on their luck by losing jobs, losing SSI, not getting Veteran benefits. Do people take time to think of that? NO, they see dirty, helpless panhandlers that they think have mental problems rather than taking time to give kind words and listen to their story. Eric Gavin was looking for someone else and ran into us and gave kind words and listened to us. Between Christy Mac and #LadiesOfTheIE and Eric Gavin and the #CRT Team we are no longer living in our car. She has 2 jobs and I am now working and our cat gets to play with her toys again. See what a kind word can do? Rather than putting down a homeless person, build the homeless person up with kind words. It may not seem as if they are listening but if you get through to one person you have done a simple Act of Kindness and one day those who you think don't hear you will come to you for more words and finally they will give in and get off the street and have a testimony like ours. God Bless Christy Mac, Eric R. Gavin & Cindy Rochelle Rosen-Gavin, Alan Cash and God himself. Thank You" - Kelly S.

  • I thank the #LadiesOfTheIE for what they have done to help the ones that need it most. I thank them for the help they gave me to change my life for the better. I know I've been a pain but it takes a lot to change the way of living. I Pray I can help and serve my purpose for them and the city. THANK YOU FOR CHANGING MY LIFE. - C.S.

  • I love how #LadiesOfTheIE, this group of committed people address and find well-thought out solutions to our communities pressing social needs. Thank you, Christy Mac and your committed group of volunteers that demonstrate that paying it forward helps those who give and those who receive. - J.E.

  • Its right down with the realness of what needs to be handled in the I.E. and all over this nation but if we can build a good rapport with the powers that be, and help them understand that not all homeless people are bad We're just human that have lost the way and need understanding and time to work, and build a great relationship with ourself again Not to be put down, we're already as low as we can get (homeless) but not worthless. Thank you #LadiesOfTheIE and Christy Mac; awesome woman. - Angel Y.

  • Heart of gold, caring and helpful. "Give a man a fish, feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, feed him for a lifetime." Impressed with your vision and its fruit....your work with #LadiesOfTheIE. - B.G.J.

  • Let's talk about how we, individually and as a community, are going to help those who are having a mental health crisis! People who are incapable of taking care of themselves (physically, mentally, or emotionally) endanger themselves and others when their needs go unmet. Meeting their needs by providing housing, food, accessible counseling and psychiatric services, and recreational opportunities will then save us from the costs of police work, incarceration, substance abuse programs, and lack of productivity. Individually, we can learn more about mental illness and support effective community mental health programs. We can provide counseling services to children at the first early signs of illness and provide them with ongoing coping skills. We can train our doctors, nurses, teachers, police officers, social workers, and clergy to recognize signs of mental illness and provide them with referral information. We can learn how to communicate with and care for those we know who are mentally ill.We can recognize, support, and promote successful efforts, like the city of Upland's HO.T.C.R.O. Police department's outreach program, our homeless advocates (who amazingly shepherd the homeless throughout their recovery programs, getting them to counseling services, job interviews, find housing for them, etc. You guys are amazing!), Hope Partners, #LadiesOfTheIE, Molly's Souper, the First Methodist Church of Upland, just to name a few. Or we can just blame others, hope for the best, and do nothing. - J.E.
