SDLAX’s high-performance initiative is to provide an inclusive program that recognizes all students’ areas of strength in the domains of creativity, leadership, general intellect, and visual and performing arts. These strength areas are identified through the strength assessment as well as teacher input based on observations and class performance. Student high-performing strength areas are served by HPL through district events, the district HPL for All student website, and flexible fluid HPL groups facilitated by the building HPL teachers (Grades 3rd thru 5th).
