1. Students are responsible for the care and safe-keeping of the device; keep secure in locker when not in your possession. If it fails to work properly, or is damaged or lost, please report immediately to Library or your school secretary.
2. You may not mark the case/cover in any way, and leave all identifying barcodes on the device and accessories. Do not create name tags to put inside the back cover. Every time the cover is removed, there is a risk of damage or breakage to the iPad. Please do not take the cover off of your iPad.
3. You may not set a passcode or pass lock on this device.
4. Inappropriate media may not be stored on the device at any time. Inappropriate media includes but is not limited to the presence of weapons, pornographic materials, inappropriate language, and references to tobacco, alcohols, drugs, and violence unless directly a part of a school/ classroom assignment.
5. The device is considered an extension of the school day and any inappropriate use of the device will result in disciplinary consequences. Activities not related to classroom assignments and activities are considered inappropriate use.
6. Students may not record video, audio or pictures of students or staff without that person's permission. Any video or audio- including on field trips- should be done with consent of the person being recorded. Students may not share an item without the permission of all involved. Bathrooms and lockers rooms are private areas and any photographic equipment is not to be used in these areas; if a student chooses to do this, school and legal criminal consequences will follow.
7. None of the data or usage on the device is private or confidential, and can be reviewed at any time by school administration or technology staff.
8. Make smart and safe choices when accessing any information on the web; be a good digital citizen.
9. Be respectful of other student iPads; students should not touch or use any device that is not their own assigned device. Do not touch another student's iPad.
