Building a Greener Future Together:
The Erasmus+ Project "Back to Future with the Nature"
Today, more than ever, we are facing serious global challenges — from climate change to the depletion of natural resources and the ongoing destruction of our environment. It’s clear: if we want a better tomorrow, we must act today.
The European Green Deal and the Erasmus+ programme both highlight the same truth — environmental education, green skills, and sustainable development are no longer optional. They are essential for the future of Europe, and the world.
This is exactly where our project, "Back to Future with the Nature" (nature4future), comes in.
We believe that real change begins with education. By helping children understand the importance of nature and giving them the tools to live sustainably, we are not just teaching them — we are empowering them to become the leaders of a greener future.
What We Aim to Achieve
Empower students, teachers, and communities to live in harmony with nature.
Integrate environmental thinking into everyday school life through STEM-based learning.
Raise awareness of climate action, recycling, responsible resource use, and green innovation.
Build strong international partnerships rooted in shared European values: democracy, equality, and environmental responsibility.
Why This Project Matters
Our children hold the key to tomorrow’s world. The habits, values, and understanding they develop today will shape the environment we all share tomorrow.
Ecology is more than just a subject — it’s a mindset, a way of living. Sustainability must become second nature, just like reading or writing.
Through this project, we teach not only knowledge, but essential life skills: scientific thinking, creativity, collaboration, civic responsibility, and global awareness.
And thanks to international cooperation, our students discover something even more powerful — that protecting the environment is not a local task, but a shared global mission that connects people across countries, cultures, and continents.
Who We Are
The Erasmus+ Project "Back to Future with the Nature" unites passionate educators and institutions from three countries:
Tallinna Läänemere Gümnaasium (Estonia)
Agrupamento de Escolas Rainha Santa Isabel (Portugal)
Yenişehir İlçe Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğü (Turkey)
Together, we organize workshops, international exchanges, and create open-access educational materials — all with the goal of building a greener, more sustainable future.
How We Align with Erasmus+ Priorities.
The Erasmus+ project “Back to the Future with Nature” directly supports the core objectives of the Erasmus+ programme:
Environment and Climate Action: by inspiring sustainable habits and everyday eco-conscious behavior.
STEM and Green Skills Development: by equipping students with the knowledge and competencies needed for future green careers.
Digital Transformation: by using digital tools to share knowledge, collaborate, and foster innovation.
European Citizenship and Values: by promoting environmental responsibility as a shared European commitment based on democracy, equality, and cooperation.
A Greener Future Starts With Education
When we teach children to value nature, we invest in a better tomorrow.
Through the Erasmus+ project "Back to the Future with Nature", students don’t just learn about environmental protection — they live it, practice it, and share it with their families and communities.
Because the future of our Planet doesn’t rest solely in the hands of governments or scientists, it depends on the everyday choices the next generation will make.
