Maria Sanchez, M.Ed
Welcome! My name is Maria Sanchez and I am currently a Resource Specialist Teacher (RST) at Alliance Renee and Meyer Luskin Academy High School in South Central Los Angeles. I began working at Luskin Academy in 2018 as a paraprofessional right after graduating from UC Irvine and attaining a B.A in Sociology and a B.A in Education Sciences, with specializations in Digital and After School learning. I served as a paraprofessional, assisting students with disabilities in various ELA, Math, and Sciences classes, and in 2019, I was fortunate enough to become the 9th grade RST at my current school site. Currently, my students are seniors and are preparing to embark on their unique journeys through adulthood. In the following years, I look forward to furthering my practice with my new group of students on my caseload as we move on to the following grade levels together.
