This program provides support and guidance to new and new-to-district teachers, setting them up for a successful Lincoln experience shaped by robust and effective edtech integration.

Objectives

The Essentials

Participants will build a strong foundation of understanding by learning the basics of successful tech integration, including:

• Technology frameworks

• Technology integration strategies

• ISTE standards/Illinois State Computer Science Standards

• Curation and organization of resources

• Using data to inform technology integration

Tools and Resources

Participants will be introduced to the main tools used by Lincoln teachers, engage with best practices for technology selection and grow their ability to interact with students through our classroom management system (CMS), Google Classroom.

Participants will also have the chance to get hands-on while creating digital lesson plans, as well as learning innovative methods for assessing student performance online.

Participants will discover resources for digital organization that will make their job easier and transform them into a more effective and impactful educator.

Ongoing Support

Participants will also have the chance to implement what they’ve learned during the course of the first two years, including coaching sessions and in person/on demand PD.

During PD sessions, participants will be encouraged to collaborate and learn from each other’s experiences, allowing them to overcome challenges that would typically slow down their fellow new and new-to-Lincoln teachers.
