To start this is about the cycle of brook trout. Brook Trout are a type of trout that might be the endangered list. The average adult weighs a little less 10 pounds. It also just happens that the class I am in is raising Brook Trout. This will show how the Brook Trout cycle first the fertilized eggs, the sac fry, fingerlings, and then adults.
When trout start they are fertilized eggs. Sometimes most of the eggs die to a fungus/, which happen to my class first round eggs.Usually Fertilized eggs are born with many other eggs. Also when borned they are in a sphere like shape closed to protect them and wait until they grow out. They also, are in this stage for 2 to 3 weeks Most come out alive but some do not go on to the next stage the sac fry.
After the 1st stage, you have the sac Fry stage. This stage usually happens to Trout during the winter/spring time. They will also like to eat a part of their self-called yolk sac until they need to get fed by the owners. They also are like rounded shapes after they eat their york.Plus, they are usually in this stage for 2 to 3 weeks.
After the second stage, they turn into fingerlings. This just happened to be that the trout our class has is fingerlings. They are about 3 inches long. They are in this stage for 2 or 3 weeks also. They usually are in this stage in the springtime.Fun fact the reason why they are called fingerlings is because they are about a finger long! This stage also is the last stage until they are real adult Trout!
After all the stages this is when they are real adult Trout. This is when they would be Trout adult and be massive . They also have maybe a pink line kind of at the bottom of the trout. They're average long is 20 to 30 inches long but they can go up to 4 feet!
In conclusion, that is the Trout life cycle from fertilized eggs, the sac fry, fingerlings, and to the amazingly Trout.
