Introduction
When you log in to important services using your Kyoto University account (ECS-ID/SPS-ID), you will be required to use multi-factor authentication using a second factor in addition to your password.
For those who are using multi-factor authentication for the first time, this site provides a manual for setting up for the first time and information on how to use it.

About One-Time Passwords and Initial Settings
With our university's multi-factor authentication, a one-time password, which is different for each user and can only be used once, is entered as the second factor.
There are two ways to obtain a one-time password: Either method requires configuration for each user.

In the initial setting of IIMC, you will be asked to confirm the one-time password by email (*).
Refer to the "Initial Setup" below to make the settings.

*This manual is for those who have never set up multi-factor authentication. If you would like to redo the settings, please see "Setup Again".
Features
You will receive an 8-digit number in an email and enter it to authenticate.(Reference:How to log in using a one-time password)
The email address you register will also be used when changing settings or resetting.

The following addresses cannot be registered in "Address for email-authentication". Also, only one address can be registered.

If you don't have an email address
Please perform "Settings using the app".
However, if you use the app without setting your email address, you will not be able to complete the "Reset" operation as shown below. Since part of the operation is performed on behalf of the ICT support center, it is necessary to contact and verify your identity. Thank you for your understanding.
Also, if you can use your email address in the future, please set your email address again.
※Please configure your email settings as you will need them to reset your settings.
Even if you are using the app, if you encounter an unexpected problem as shown below, you can use email to "reset" it.
I could not transfer my data correctly due to the purchase of a new PC or a change of model.
The app can no longer be used due to a device failure.
If you do not have an email set, you will need to get assistance from the ICT support center.
