Extended Application
LAUNCH! Courses are designed to help students investigate careers, higher education, and personal financial planning, as well as gain proficiency in technology such as building websites, spreadsheets, presentation software, word processing, and typing. Leadership and service projects, including skills in project management, are integrated into the class as well as the high school overnight field trips.
Other elements of these courses include - completion of an annual Plan and Profile; Academic Presentation Nights/Junior Review Project/Internship Presentation; Resume writing and Career Convention.
Senior Internship Experience- students seek out an opportunity to gain experience in a field of interest, hands-on training, networking, and an understanding of what that career entails. Students must complete a minimum of 65 hours of internship work. They may pursue more than one opportunity, or work more hours if desired.
