The award-winning Kingman High School band program offers students avenues to perform in marching, jazz & concert band settings. KUSD band programs are readily known for its tradition of musical excellence locally and across Arizona in individual & large group competitions. Band students receive instruction on proper playing techniques and heighten their understanding of the musical language through a variety of musical styles and mediums. Students perform in school concerts and compete at state events.

School musicians are provided opportunities to create music, relate it to cross-curricular content and evaluate musical performances outlined in the Arizona Academic Standards in the Arts. Many children find success and increased self-esteem by participating in a music program. Musical experiences enhance a child’s academic achievement, problem-solving skills and teamwork leading to lifelong success.
