The first site students visited with MLC was the Lama Site at Pālehua. This site is very special to Ho'ōla academy, because an alumni student based their project on this site by restoring the native Lama trees present in the area.

Students got to plant various native species, remove invasive weeds, and fish with bamboo poles to try find invasive fish (such as Tilapia).
