There are several types of assessments that we use in this classroom: District-wide program assessments, formal classroom assessments, and informal observations. Each of these assessments provides the basis for grading.
I - Ready Math Diagnostic and Istation Reading are benchmark tests, given on specific days throughout the school year. These are designed to test your child’s knowledge of the Common Core Content Standards
Math, language skills, and reading comprehension tests, as well as class writing assignments, are given to assess your child’s strengths and weaknesses on the curriculum in Room 21.
I will be assessing your child’s progress daily through our lessons based on teacher observations. They will help me determine your child’s specific needs on a daily basis and allow me to adjust my instruction to meet his or her needs.
