Club Activities
Kuna Air Force JROTC has multiple clubs after school these clubs can be before competition and after competition. These clubs are student led and managed by the commanders who are in charge of these cadets after school. When you participate in any of these after school clubs you will receive the ribbon or badge for the cadets uniform.
Rocket Club Commander: C/1LT Ashley Young
Rocket Club is where you get to build and launch actual model rockets. It’s hands on and fun, and you learn how rockets work while getting to see them blast off. It’s a great way to get into aerospace and engineering. Launch days are the best part for everyone getting excited. Cadets who successfully build and fly a model rocket are awarded the Model Rocketry Badge.
APT Club Commander: C/TSGT Gavin Mahler
The Awareness Presentation Team (APT) is an endeavor designed to provide positive role models for elementary, middle school, and high school students. Implemented to deliver an anti-drug message to all students, it can also expand to cover topics such as peer pressure, conflict resolution, sexual issues, bullying, and alcohol awareness. The team is composed of cadets who are selected by the SASI/ASI. Cadets research a subject, then prepare and deliver a presentation. At Kuna High School the team and JROTC sponsors "Red Ribbon" drug awareness week.
StellarX Club Commander: N/A
StellarXplorers is a space competition where you get to work on real life satellite missions and use cool space software. You work with a team to solve problems, like choosing the best orbit or satellite parts. If you’re into space, tech, or STEM stuff, you’ll probably enjoy it like most of our cadets who join this club. It’s challenging, but also really rewarding.
Raiders Commander: C/TSGT Jayden Jones
Marksmanship NCO: C/SSGT Charizama Fries
Raiders is all about physical fitness and pushing yourself. Cadets run obstacle courses, do team workouts and carry heavy stuff, and test endurance. It’s intense, but if you like to stay active or compete physically, it’s a blast. You’ll get stronger and tougher, and the team becomes like family.
Marksmanship Commander: C/MAJ Andre Danielson
Marksmanship NCO: C/SSGT Eli Brandonburg
Marksmanship is where you learn how to shoot air rifles safely and accurately. It takes a lot of focus, patience, and control. Competitions are all about precision, and safety is always first. It’s a quiet sport but it sharpens your skills and discipline. It may take time at first but you will get the hang of it.
Drones Commander: C/2LT Ethan Paschal
Drones NCO: N/A
Drone Club is all about flying drones and learning how they work. Cadets practice flying through courses, learn about the tech behind them, and sometimes even race. It’s a fun mix of gaming, STEM, and real-world skills.
