Chuck was born in Whitemouth MB and moved to Coldstream (Vernon) BC when he was 10. He was the 11th in a line of 12 boys and 4 girls: Hannah, Violet, Audrey, Edward, George, Herman, Norman, Bill (yes, just "Bill"), Arthur, Alfred, Charles, Nelson, Ernest, Kenneth, Donald & Sylvia
