What is Key Club?

Key Club is the world's largest service and leadership organization. Since 1925, Key Club International has been leading high school students across the globe to provide service, build character, and develop leadership. With over 251,000 members across 40 countries, Key Clubbers have been serving their home, school, and community worldwide.

Our Mission Statement:

Key Club is an international, student-led organization that provides its members with opportunities to provide service, build character and develop leadership.

Our Objectives:

Key Club aims to cooperate with school principals and teachers to provide high school students with invaluable experience in living and working together and to prepare them for useful citizenship. Our members develop initiative and leadership skills by serving their schools and communities.

In doing so, we hope to promote and accept the following ideals:

To give primacy to the human and spiritual, rather than to the material values of life.

To encourage the daily living of the Golden Rule in all human relationships.

To promote the adoption and application of higher standards in scholarship, sportsmanship and social contacts.

To develop, by precept and example, a more intelligent, aggressive and serviceable citizenship.

To provide a practical means to form enduring friendships, to render unselfish service and to build better communities.

To cooperate in creating and maintaining that sound public opinion and high idealism which makes possible the increase of righteousness, justice, patriotism and good will.

To promote diversity, equity and inclusivity.

Our Structure:

Key Club is an international organization with student leadership positions from every level. The opportunity to be a club president or even our International President is available to every single member.

The Membership Experience:

One of the greatest aspects of being a KT-Key Club member is the endless experiences, connections, and opportunities provided to every member of Key Club. You, truly, get out what you give in to it. Below are some annual events that every KT-Key Club member can look forward to:

Dollywood Fall Rally:

Every year, in the fall, hundreds of Key Clubbers flood the Dollywood Amusement Park to have fun, make new friends, and get excited for the next year of service. The 2023 Dollywood Fall Rally had a record-breaking 890+ in attendance!

District Convention:

Towards the end of every service year, a District-Wide Convention (DCON) is hosted in fun cities around the district. Members attend fun and engaging keynote sessions, learn tons in student-led workshops, and run or vote for District positions! These weekends truly create lifelong memories and connections.

International Convention:

Key Club is the largest student-led organization in the world and its members have the chance to attend a convention, much like DCON, on a whole new scale. Thousands of members from around the entire world come together for their shared love of serving their homes, schools, and communities. Similar events to DCON are held and members can make friends and hear perspectives from peers all over. It is definitely an unforgettable experience.

Board Events:

If club members are interested in running for a District Board position at their local Spring Rally or at the District Convention, they have the opportunity to attend some exciting and engaging board meetings, host informational webinars, and local DCMs (Divisional Council Meetings). District positions are not easy, but they are worth every minute due to the endless friendships and valuable learning opportunities.
