Although it is not required, it is highly recommended to find a sponsoring Kiwanis club in your area. The Kiwanis Club should help you pay chartering dues. (We can help find a Kiwanis club in your area).
Find an advisor, this can be anyone who is employed at the school
Find members, some tips for doing so are holding a membership drive, or hanging recruitment posters around your school. The minimum amount of members is eleven, four of which must be officers (President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary)
Next, you must complete the petition to charter document, it can be completed online or sent through the mail. (The online form is recommended)
Work with your sponsoring Kiwanis club to pay the one-time chartering fee.
1.A school staff who serves as the advisor for the key club
2. Eleven paid members, four of which must be officers (President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary)
3.Completion of petition to charter document
4. Payment of Key Club Internationals chartering fee*
